A Nigerian senator who alleged she was sexually harassed by one of the country's top politicians has told the BBC the Senate operates like a "cult".
A fortnight ago, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan was suspended for six months after submitting a petition saying she had been harassed by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, which he denies.
His office also rejected the cult comparison - the latest twist in a row that has gripped Nigeria, raising questions about gender equality in the socially conservative nation.
Akpoti-Uduaghan told BBC's Yemisi Adegoke she was being punished for speaking out against the system and that she now feared for her and her two-year-old's safety as her security detail had been stripped.

Ukraine has said it is ready to accept an immediate 30-day ceasefire with Russia proposed by the US, after a day of US-Ukraine talks in Saudi Arabia.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said he would present the offer to Russia and that "the ball is in their court".
Ukraine's President Volodomyr Zelensky said it was now up to the US to convince Russia to agree to the "positive" proposal.
The talks in Jeddah were the first official meeting between the two countries since the extraordinary clash between Zelensky and US President Donald Trump in the Oval Office.
In a joint statement, the US also said it would immediately restart intelligence sharing and security assistance to Ukraine, which Washington had suspended after the unprecedented meeting.
"Both delegations agreed to name their negotiating teams and immediately begin negotiations toward an enduring peace that provides for Ukraine's long-term security," the US-Ukraine statement said.
Rubio told a press conference in Jeddah late on Tuesday that he hoped Russia would accept the proposal. Ukraine was "ready to stop shooting and start talking," he said, and if Russia rejected the offer "then we'll unfortunately know what the impediment is to peace here".

A statement by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky saying a deal to end the war with Russia was "very far away" has drawn a angry response from Donald Trump.
"This is the worst statement that could have been made by Zelensky, and America will not put up with it for much longer! It is what I was saying, this guy doesn't want there to be Peace as long as he has America's backing," President Trump wrote on his Truth Social media network.
During his latest news briefing Trump repeated his view that Zelensky "should be more appreciative" for the aid he has received from the US in the three years since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. He said: “Maybe somebody doesn’t want to make a deal and if somebody doesn’t want to make a deal that person won’t be around very long”.
It follows angry scenes in the Oval Office last week when Trump and Vice-President JD Vance accused Zelensky of "gambling with World War Three" and failing to thank the American people for the support the United States had provided to Ukraine.

Ukrainian children forced to leave their homes near the front line have begun to arrive in safer parts of the country.
Last week, parents were told they must move their families to safety from 31 settlements in the southern Kherson and eastern Donetsk regions.
Ukraine officials, who made the orders, said the fighting has become too intense for children to remain.
While millions of Ukrainians have fled the war abroad, the Ukrainian government estimates there are nearly five million internally displaced people in the country.
